Panel discussion: Shaping our digital future by putting citizens in control of their data

In this session, we delve into our strategy for data. The European strategy aims at creating a single market for data. Common European data spaces will
ensure that more data becomes available in the economy and society while keeping the companies and individuals who generate the data in control.
This panel will discuss how today’s challenges of smart cities can be addressed through dataspaces, including openness, transparency and efficiency through open data concept. Several case studies from Belgium will be presented, as well as an introductory view of the needed infrastructure for cities and
regions to be flexible, resilient and secure.
